Zakho: A terrorist explosion in a market in the city of Zakho leaves about 100 dead and 150 wounded. (27. February 1995)

A sarin gas attack on the Tokyo subway kills 13 and wounds 1,300 persons. (20. March 1995)

The United Kingdom's oldest investment banking institute, Barings Bank, collapses after securities broker Nick Leeson, loses $1.4 billion by speculating on the Singapore International Monetary Exchange using futures contracts. (26. February 1995)

Ramzi Yousef, the mastermind of the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, is arrested in Islamabad, Pakistan. (7. February 1995)

President Bill Clinton authorizes a $20 billion loan to Mexico to stabilize its economy. (31. January 1995)
