Altona Bloody Sunday: A riot between the Nazi Party paramilitary forces, the SS and SA, and the German Communist Party ensues. (17. July 1932)

Gandhi and Dr. B. R. Ambedkar agree to the Poona Pact, which reserved seats in the Indian provincial legislatures for the "Depressed Classes" (Untouchables). (24. September 1932)

Amelia Earhart becomes the first woman to fly across the United States non-stop (from Los Angeles to Newark, New Jersey). (24. August 1932)

The Battle of Boquerón, the first major battle of the Chaco War, commences. (7. September 1932)

In Brazil, four students are shot and killed during a manifestation against the Brazilian dictator Getúlio Vargas, which occurred in the city of São Paulo. Their names and surnames were used to form the MMDC, a revolutionary group that would act against the dictatorial government, especially in the Constitutionalist Revolution ("Revolução Constitucionalista", in Portuguese), the major uprising in Brazil during the 20th century. A vaccine for yellow fever is announced for use on humans. (28. April 1932)

Second Sino-Japanese War: The Chinese National Revolutionary Army begins its defense of Harbin. (25. January 1932)

Franciszek Żwirko and Stanisław Wigura, Polish Challenge 1932 winners, are killed when their RWD 6 airplane crashes during a storm. (11. September 1932)

The National Theatre of Greece is founded. (30. May 1932)

The NSDAP (Nazi Party) wins more than 38% of the vote in German elections. (31. July 1932)

Bad weather forces Amelia Earhart to land in a pasture in Derry, Northern Ireland, and she thereby becomes the first woman to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean. (21. May 1932)

Hattie Caraway becomes the first woman elected to the United States Senate. (12. January 1932)

In the Netherlands, construction of the Afsluitdijk is completed and the Zuiderzee bay is converted to the freshwater IJsselmeer. (28. May 1932)

Lou Gehrig and his teammate Tony Lazzeri hit four home runs in one game, and hit for the natural cycle, respectively. These two feats are both less common than a perfect game, which has occurred twenty-one times in one-hundred and twenty years. (3. June 1932)

The New York City Subway's third competing subway system, the municipally-owned IND, is opened. (10. September 1932)
