Battle of Uclés: Almoravid troops under the command of Tamim ibn Yusuf defeat a Castile and León alliance under the command of Prince Sancho Alfónsez. (29. May 1108)

The French scholar Peter Abelard is found guilty of heresy. (3. June 1140)

Battle of São Mamede, near Guimarães: forces led by Alfonso I defeat forces led by his mother Teresa of León and her lover Fernando Pérez de Traba. After this battle, the future king calls himself "Prince of Portugal", the first step towards "official independence" that will be reached in 1139 after the Battle of Ourique. (24. June 1128)

Raymond of Poitiers is defeated and killed at the Battle of Inab by Nur ad-Din Zangi. (29. June 1149)

Jordan II of Capua is anointed as prince after his infant nephew's death. (4. July 1120)

Song Dynasty general Yue Fei defeats an army led by Jin Dynasty general Wanyan Wuzhu at the Battle of Yancheng during the Jin–Song wars. (8. July 1139)

The reconstructed Church of the Holy Sepulchre is consecrated in Jerusalem. (15. July 1149)

Battle of Nocera between Ranulf II of Alife and Roger II of Sicily. (24. July 1132)

Louis VII of France lays siege to Damascus during the Second Crusade. (24. July 1148)

Battle of Ourique: The Almoravids, led by Ali ibn Yusuf, are defeated by Prince Afonso Henriques. (25. July 1139)

The Siege of Damascus ends in a decisive crusader defeat and leads to the disintegration of the Second Crusade. (29. July 1148)

Battle of Didgori: the Georgian army under King David IV wins a decisive victory over the famous Seljuk commander Ilghazi. (12. August 1121)

Battle of the Standard between Scotland and England. (22. August 1138)

Yelü Dashi, the Liao Dynasty general who founded the Qara-Khitai, defeats the Seljuq and Kara-Khanid forces at the Battle of Qatwan. (9. September 1141)

Highest Galician nobility led by Pedro Fróilaz de Traba and the bishop Diego Gelmírez crown Alfonso VII as "King of Galicia". (17. September 1111)

Pope Callixtus II and Holy Roman Emperor Henry V agree to the Concordat of Worms to put an end to the Investiture Controversy. (23. September 1122)
