Battle of Formigny: Toward the end of the Hundred Years' War, the French attack and nearly annihilate English forces, ending English domination in Northern France. (15. April 1450)

Joan of Arc arrives to relieve the Siege of Orleans. (29. April 1429)

Religious reformers John Wycliffe and Jan Hus are condemned as heretics at the Council of Constance. (4. May 1415)

Assassination of the Swedish rebel (later national hero) Engelbrekt Engelbrektsson (4. May 1436)

Joan of Arc ends the Siege of Orléans, pulling an arrow from her own shoulder and returning, wounded, to lead the final charge. The victory marks a turning point in the Hundred Years' War. (7. May 1429)

Jack Cade's Rebellion: Kentishmen revolt against King Henry VI. (8. May 1450)

'Abd al-Latif (Timurid monarch) is assassinated. (9. May 1450)

John II of Castile defeats the Infantes of Aragon at the First Battle of Olmedo. (19. May 1445)

The Battle of Alfarrobeira is fought, establishing the House of Braganza as a principal royal family of Portugal. (20. May 1449)

Henry III of Castile sends Ruy González de Clavijo as ambassador to Timur to discuss the possibility of an alliance between Timur and Castile against the Ottoman Empire. (21. May 1403)

Siege of Compiègne: Joan of Arc is captured by the Burgundians while leading an army to relieve Compiègne. (23. May 1430)

Henry the Navigator is appointed governor of the Order of Christ. (25. May 1420)

Council of Constance. (29. May 1414)

The Council of Constance, called by Emperor Sigismund, a supporter of Antipope John XXIII, burns Jerome of Prague following a trial for heresy. (30. May 1416)

Hundred Years' War: in Rouen, France, the 19-year-old Joan of Arc is burned at the stake by an English-dominated tribunal. The Roman Catholic Church remembers this day as the celebration of Saint Joan of Arc. (30. May 1431)

Hussite Wars: Battle of Lipany – effectively ending the war, Utraquist forces led by Diviš Bořek of Miletínek defeat and almost annihilate Taborite forces led by Prokop the Great. (30. May 1434)

King Charles VI granted a monopoly for the ripening of Roquefort cheese to the people of Roquefort-sur-Soulzon as they had been doing for centuries. (4. June 1411)

Troops of the Republic of Venice captured Udine, ending the independence of the Patriarchal State of Friuli. (7. June 1420)
