Dominion of Newfoundland: 10,000 rioters seize the Colonial Building leading to the end of self-government. (5. April 1932)

A bloodless Revolution instigated by the People's Party ends the absolute power of King Prajadhipok of Siam (now Thailand). (24. June 1932)

The positron (antiparticle of the electron) is discovered by Carl D. Anderson. (2. August 1932)

A 5.1 kilograms (11 lb) chondrite-type meteorite breaks into at least seven pieces and lands near the town of Archie in Cass County, Missouri. (10. August 1932)

World War I Veterans begin to assemble in Washington, D.C., in the Bonus Army to request cash bonuses promised to them to be paid in 1945. (29. May 1932)

Benny Rothman leads the mass trespass of Kinder Scout, leading to substantial legal reforms in the United Kingdom. (24. April 1932)

The state of São Paulo revolts against the Brazilian Federal Government, starting the Constitutionalist Revolution. (9. July 1932)

The Sydney Harbour Bridge is opened. (19. March 1932)

The Dow Jones Industrial Average reaches its lowest level of the Great Depression, closing at 41.22. (8. July 1932)

Lou Gehrig and his teammate Tony Lazzeri hit four home runs in one game, and hit for the natural cycle, respectively. These two feats are both less common than a perfect game, which has occurred twenty-one times in one-hundred and twenty years. (3. June 1932)

Marmaduke Grove and other Chilean military officers lead a coup d'etat establishing the short-lived Socialist Republic of Chile. (4. June 1932)

Amelia Earhart takes off from Newfoundland to begin the world's first solo nonstop flight across the Atlantic Ocean by a female pilot, landing in Ireland the next day. (20. May 1932)

Ten weeks after his abduction, the infant son of Charles Lindbergh, Charles Jr., is found dead in Hopewell, New Jersey, just a few miles from the Lindberghs' home. (12. May 1932)

In Brazil, four students are shot and killed during a manifestation against the Brazilian dictator Getúlio Vargas, which occurred in the city of São Paulo. Their names and surnames were used to form the MMDC, a revolutionary group that would act against the dictatorial government, especially in the Constitutionalist Revolution ("Revolução Constitucionalista", in Portuguese), the major uprising in Brazil during the 20th century.
