Vietnam War: Tet Offensive launch by forces of the Viet Cong and North Vietnamese Army against South Vietnam, the United States, and their allies. (30. January 1968)

An earthquake hits Casiguran, Aurora, Philippines killing more than 270 people and wounding 261. (2. August 1968)
