Oklahoma City bombing: The Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, USA, is bombed, killing 168. (19. April 1995)

More than 170 countries extend the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty indefinitely and without conditions. (11. May 1995)

Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani deposes his father Khalifa bin Hamad al-Thani, the Emir of Qatar, in a bloodless coup. (26. June 1995)

United States Air Force Captain Scott O'Grady's F-16 is shot down over Bosnia while patrolling the NATO no-fly zone. (2. June 1995)

The Russian town of Neftegorsk is hit by a 7.6 magnitude earthquake that kills at least 2,000 people, half of the total population. (28. May 1995)

Selena, an American singer, was murdered by her friend and employee of her boutiques Yolanda Saldívar who was embezzling money from the establishments. The event was named "Black Friday" by Hispanics. (31. March 1995)

During the Croatian War of Independence, Serb forces fire cluster bombs at Zagreb, killing 7 and wounding over 175 civilians. (2. May 1995)

The downed U.S. Air Force pilot Captain Scott O'Grady is rescued by U.S. Marines in Bosnia. (8. June 1995)

Shawn Nelson, 35, steals a tank from a National Guard Armory in San Diego, destroying cars and other property and is shot to death by police after immobilizing the tank. (18. May 1995)
