The warlord Zhu Quanzhong kills Emperor Zhaozong, the penultimate emperor of the Tang Dynasty, after seizing control of the imperial government. (22. September 904)

Saint Wenceslas is murdered by his brother, Boleslaus I of Bohemia. (28. September 935)

Members of Slavník's dynasty – Spytimír, Pobraslav, Pořej and Čáslav are murdered by Boleslaus's son, Boleslaus II the Pious. (28. September 995)

Edgar the Peaceable becomes king of all England. (1. October 959)

Edmund I succeeds Athelstan as King of England. (27. October 939)

Byzantine general Michael Bourtzes seizes part of Antioch's fortifications. The capture of the city from the Arabs is completed three days later, when reinforcements under Peter Phokas arrive. (28. October 969)

Emperor Otto III issues a deed to Gottschalk, Bishop of Freising, which is the oldest known document using the name Ostarrîchi (Austria in Old High German). (1. November 996)

Battle of Andrassos: Byzantines under Leo Phokas the Younger score a crushing victory over the Hamdanid Emir of Aleppo, Sayf al-Dawla. (8. November 960)

Shi Jingtang is enthroned as the first emperor of the Later Jin by Emperor Taizong of Liao, following a revolt against Emperor Fei of Later Tang. (28. November 936)

Pope John X crowned Berengar I of Italy as Holy Roman Emperor. (3. December 915)

Byzantine Emperor Nikephoros II Phokas is assassinated by his wife Theophano and her lover, the later Emperor John I Tzimiskes. (11. December 969)

Romanos I Lekapenos is crowned co-emperor of the underage Constantine VII. (17. December 920)
