Jokela school shooting in Tuusula, Finland, resulting in the death of nine people. (7. November 2007)

Karachi bombings: A suicide attack on a motorcade carrying former Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto kills 139 and wounds 450 more. Bhutto herself is not injured. (18. October 2007)

Former Pakistani prime minister Benazir Bhutto is assassinated in a shooting incident. (27. December 2007)

President Roh Moo-hyun of South Korea walks across the Military Demarcation Line into North Korea on his way to the second Inter-Korean Summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Il. (2. October 2007)

Philippines: A bomb explosion rocked Glorietta 2, a shopping mall in Makati. The blast killed 11 and injured more than 100 people. (19. October 2007)

Winter storms cause the Chehalis River to flood many cities in Lewis County, Washington, and close a 20-mile portion of Interstate 5 for several days. At least eight deaths and billions of dollars in damages are blamed on the floods. (3. December 2007)
