A qaghan of the Western Turkic Khanate is assassinated in a Chinese palace by Eastern Turkic rivals after the approval of Tang emperor Gaozu. (2. November 619)

Umar ibn al-Khattab, the second Muslim caliph, is assassinated by a Persian slave in Medina. (3. November 644)

The Rashidun Caliphate defeated the Sassanian Empire at the Battle of Qadisiya in Iraq. (19. November 636)
