Argentina becomes a member of the Berne Convention copyright treaty. (10. June 1967)

Six-Day War: The USS Liberty incident occurs, killing 34 and wounding 171. (8. June 1967)

12th Street Riot: in Detroit, Michigan, one of the worst riots in United States history begins on 12th Street in the predominantly African American inner city. It will leave 43 killed, 342 injured and 1,400 buildings burned. (23. July 1967)

Celtic F.C. from Glasgow, Scotland, becomes the first ever Northern European team to win the European Cup; with previous winners being from Spain, Italy and Portugal. (25. May 1967)

Lunar Orbiter program: Lunar Orbiter 3 lifts off from Cape Canaveral's Launch Complex 13 on its mission to identify possible landing sites for the Surveyor and Apollo spacecraft. (4. February 1967)

Film critic Roger Ebert published his very first film review in the Chicago Sun-Times. (7. April 1967)

The U.S. Navy aircraft carrier USS John F. Kennedy is launched by Jacqueline Kennedy and her daughter Caroline. (27. May 1967)
